Job Description

General Description: The President and CEO has full responsibility for the ComfortCare Women’s Health clinics under the Board of Directors. This includes the implementation of the policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors within the parameters of the ComfortCare budget. This is a salaried, full-time position.

Accountable to: The President and CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors.

Supervises: VP of Clinical Operations, VP of Operations, and VP of Engagement

Qualifications:

  1. Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  2. Strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life and related issues of abortion and sexual purity
  3. Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle and policies of the Clinic
  4. Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a related field, or related experience equivalent
  5. Have two years of experience as a volunteer or employee in a ministry
  6. Have two years of experience in an administrative position with direct experience in supervising paid staff in an efficient and professional office
  7. Have two years of experience in marketing, fund-raising and public relations/development; with two years experience in patient services preferred
  8. Exhibit excellent skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing and effective media relations
  9. Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement and direction for the staff members and volunteers
  10. Work with the Board to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the clinic
  11. Carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision

Major Responsibilities:

Administrative:

  • Represent the Board to the support staff and volunteers. Assist in maintaining and facilitating close communication between the board, staff, and volunteers.
  • Conduct yearly, written and oral evaluations of the V.P. personnel.
  • Coordinate with Treasurer, board members and staff an annual budget that is presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
  • Implement all clinic policies and procedures as approved by the board.
  • Maintain regular staff meetings.
  • Attend all Board meetings and present reports as directed by the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee a yearly calendar for the ministry which includes implementation of programs and special events.
  • Provide managerial support, direction and supervision to the V.P. staff (not limited to, but including the following):
    • Ensuring accurate and current financial records are kept and reported to the Board monthly.
    • Approval of expenditures for budgeted expenses of clinics and overseeing purchase requests.
    • Compilation of statistical reports, accurate record keeping, and Board reports.
    • Maintenance of the staff policies and procedures manual for operation of the clinics.
    • Maintenance of the policy/procedure manual for all administrative staff.
    • Overall program development for patient services.

Development/Marketing:

  • Assist the Board with strategic planning and implementation.
  • Communicate with donors on a regular basis, through newsletters, phone calls, and visits as appropriate within the donor management plan.
  • Oversee the VP of Engagement in:
    • Creating an effective donor development and management plan which includes operational, capital, and deferred gifts
    • All fundraising efforts and special events
    • Accomplishing specialized tasks, such as event planning, capital campaigns, brochure development, advertising campaigns, grant writing, and additional training and marketing strategies necessary to sustain fundraising efforts.

Public Relations:

  • Build effective relationships within the community among other professional organizations, individuals, churches and businesses to promote the sanctity of life and encourage referrals, support, and involvement in our ministry.
  • Represent the ministry to the community and the media through public speaking.
  • Oversee the VP of Engagement in:
    • Promoting public awareness of the ministry through advertisement, and participation in community/special events
    • Development and management of all educational and promotional materials for patient use and donor use within the community
    • Recruiting, training, and supervision of the Speaker’s Bureau

Related Tasks:

  • Diligent in prayer for the clinic and ministry at large. Prays with staff and disciples patients, as desired.
  • Supports the religious mission of the clinic and encourages spiritual growth of staff and patients.

 Programs:

  • Approve the evaluation and selection of resources and tools for program use.
  • Counsel as needed.
  • Oversee the VP of Clinical Operations in:
    • Developing an on-going educational training plan for staff and volunteers in order to continue to grow and sustain an excellent standard of patient care
    • Communicating and promoting the vision and ministry goals to all support staff on a regular basis
    • Program development efforts
    • Maintaining policy/procedure manuals for all patient services volunteers
    • Ensuring an excellent standard of quality care be maintained in all areas of patients services and volunteer training

Evaluation: The Board of Directors will perform a written evaluation of the President and C.E.O. on a yearly basis.
